Electronic submission:
Authors should submit their manuscripts electronically via e-mail to tsimos.conf@gmail.com (subject line: “Submission to JNAIAM”), sending as attachment one printable file (pdf or ps) of their manuscript including all the text, tables and figures. This will significantly accelerate the time required for handling and refereeing.
Reviewing Process:
The "received date" is the date on which the manuscript and the list of proposed reviewers’ names are received in the editorial office. After the review process the Editor-in-Chief will decide (sometimes together with an Editor) about the acceptance or rejection of the paper.
Acceptance Stage
The Editor-in-Chief will send an acceptance message to the corresponding author and at the same time will ask for electronic files of camera ready text and figures which must be based on the style files and template files of JNAIAM. All portions of the manuscript available in electronic form should be sent to tsimos.conf@gmail.com with the subject line “Accepted Paper for JNAIAM with Ref. No: . . .”
Preferably files conforming to the following guidelines will be accepted:
A. LaTeX Documents
• LaTeX files coded with the JNAIAM style files found at http://www.jnaiam.org/. There are also template files which show to the author how to use the style files.
• Figures in Postscript (ps or eps) or tiff format should be included as separate files
• Supplementary material, for example videos or animations (which will only be published in the online version)
Also accepted:
• LaTeX files coded with the article class without any particular packages or definitions.
B. Word for Windows Documents
• Word for Windows files coded with the JNAIAM Template file for Word for Windows found at http://www.jnaiam.org/.
• Figures must be included into the Word for Windows file.
• Supplementary material, for example videos or animations (which will only be published in the online version)
C. References
References must appear in a numerical style. They should be quoted in the text in square brackets, i.e. [5] or [5, p. 101], and grouped at the end of the paper in numerical order of appearance or in alphabetical order. Author's initials, paper titles, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers and year should be given for all journals referenced. References should be arranged as follows:
Journal articles: [1] T.E. Simos and P.S. Williams, On finite difference methods for the solution of the Schrödinger equation, Computers & Chemistry 23(6) 513-554(1999)
Papers in a collection or book series: [2] T.E. Simos, Atomic Structure Computations In Chemical Modelling: Applications and Theory (Editor: A. Hinchliffe, UMIST), pp. 38-142, The Royal Society of Chemistry (2000).
Books: [3] L.Gr. Ixaru and M. Micu, Topics in Theoretical Physics, Central Institute of Physics, Bucharest, 1978.
All files should be archived and compressed into a single file using WinZip or tar.gz before emailing.
Please note that color figures will generally only remain in color in the electronic version, but will be printed in black/white.
Proof Correction Stage
Prior to publication authors will receive page proofs preferably by e-mail in PDF format. Authors should keep in mind that reading proofs is their responsibility. Corrections should therefore be clear.
Corrections listed in an electronic file should be sorted by line numbers. The use of standard proof correction marks is recommended.
LaTeX and Word files are sometimes slightly modified during production to follow the general presentation rules of the journal.
The main aim of proofreading is to correct errors that may have occurred during the production process, and not to modify the content of the paper. The reproduction of art work, the layout of the pages, and breaks in equations introduced by the production staff should be carefully checked.
Corrections that may lead to a change in the page layout should be avoided. Note that sending back a corrected manuscript file is of no use.
Please correct your galley proofs and return them within 2 days together with the completed reprint order form and the signed copyright agreement. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to publish your article with the editors’ corrections if your proofs do not arrive in time.
